Tour Description
The Preah Khan Temple, the Neak Pean Temple, the Ta Som Temple, and the Pre Rup Temple make up the Grand Circuit. This is the first stop on a private day trip that starts early in the morning.
You will acquire a deeper understanding of the impressive Khmer architecture as well as additional information regarding the history of the temples.
Itinerary Details
At 8:30 in the morning, your guide will meet and greet you. Your trip should start at Preah Khan, a large complex built as a Buddhist monastery in the 12th century. It later became a Hindu religious center. King Jayavarman VII was responsible for the temple’s construction and later devoted it to his father.
After the expedition, you will go to the next temple on the schedule, Neak Pean. This tiny island temple can be found in the center of the very last baray that King Jayavarman II constructed. We’re going to make our way through each of the four connected pools, and they each represent a different element: fire, water, earth, and wind.
Your tour guide will make a recommendation for a local restaurant that is convenient for you to visit for lunch.
Following lunch, you will be taken to Ta Som, a temple that has not been restored and is known for its peaceful atmosphere; visiting this location is the perfect way to wind down the day. The first entry tower is ornamented with garudas and serpents, while the east and west entry towers each have four faces carved into them that are depicted smiling peacefully.
Because the temple’s name is derived from Pre Rup and translates to “turn the body,” many specialists are under the impression that funerals were performed at the temple.
We’ll walk up the temple mountain, stopping to take in the breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.
Tour Prerequisites
A valid Angkor Pass, which can be purchased for $37 per person, is required for entry to these amazing temples.
Your tour guide will also be able to help you secure tickets for the temples.
What to wear and what to bring
The dress code at Angkor Wat prohibits visitors from wearing uncovered apparel, including as tops that reveal the shoulders, knees, or cleavage. Visitors to Angkor Wat are asked to wear slacks or skirts that reach or fall below the knee when they are inside the temple complex. Shoulders and knees should also be covered.
Because of the high levels of humidity on this tour, it is essential that you bring along sturdy footwear, a hat, sun protection lotion, sunglasses, and more water in order to keep from being dehydrated.

We’ll send you a reservation confirmation email right away.
A second email will contain your tour guide and driver numbers for the day. This is their direct line. (Traffic or late guests may delay your hotel pick-up.)
